I saw Aurora with a friend on Thursday Nov 21 at the shrine theater in Los Angeles. The driving around the theater was hectic. However oncevwe got there getting in the venue was way easy as we breezed by security.
Once in, we contemplated getting some merchandise but decided against it because the line was so long. The shrine theater is absolutely gorgeous!! The wooden trim around the windows and balcony is so detailed and beautiful. The seating was a little tight - as to be expected.
The opening act was a group called Biig Piig they were so energetic and groovy. The Saxophone player was awesome and I think he really stole the show for that band.
Aurora came on about an hour after the first band and it was a really good show. Her voice is absolutely angelic. She looked beautiful and her commentary between songs was inspiring and funny. The lights and multimedia presentation was very nice. It really helped to create a fun and otherworldly atmosphere. She performed for quite some time. Unfortunately, after the concert most of the merchandise was sold out it so that was a bummer. Getting out of the venue was definitely not as easy as getting in, but we eventually made our way outside.
I was new to Aurora going into the concert. I had only heard a few of her most popular songs but I really did enjoy everything about her performance and I hope I can see her the next time she comes to Los Angeles.
