Spending the night at a haunted house

I recently spent the night in a haunted house in Upland, California. The house was built in 1902 and has a long history of tragic deaths, which has given it a reputation for being haunted. One of the most well-known spirits in the house is that of a beautiful woman who suffered from a terrible disease that distorted her appearance before eventually causing her death. According to the owners, this is the ghost that is most active. People have reported hearing the sound of glass breaking, loud footsteps on the stairs, and strange, knocking with no clear source. One of the eeriest phenomena is the occasional appearance of a mysterious gray liquid dripping from the ceiling, though it never hits the floor, and no one has been able to explain where it comes from.

The current residents have their own stories to tell. One woman claimed to have seen an apparition while turning a corner in the house; it was only the lower half of a body, which makes it even more unsettling. She has also woken up to see the ghost of a man standing at the foot of her bed on more than one occasion. There’s a constant feeling of unease that seems to hang in the air.

As much as I felt that discomfort, I didn’t witness any ghostly activity that night. I took plenty of photos, but there were no strange anomalies or orbs. Still, I don’t doubt the house is haunted yet this time, the spirits were quiet.

Even though I didn’t get any concrete evidence during this visit, I might return to try using EVP or other ghost-hunting tools to communicate with the spirits. Something about the house makes it impossible to dismiss its haunted reputation. For now, I believe it’s haunted, even if I didn’t capture proof that night.
